About Cheryl Rivera Smith

Ms. Smith is an attorney, real estate broker, seasoned executive, and accredited investor who syndicates real estate investments and consults with the real estate and title insurance industries regarding transactional matters and conflicts. She was formerly Associate Counsel and Vice President of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to that she was President of WestStar National Title Company in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Smith, a graduate of the University of Texas, Dallas and a cum laude graduate of Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, is admitted to practice law in the states of Texas, Arizona, and Georgia. She holds real estate broker licenses in Texas, Virginia, and California. She has published several articles, a book on manufactured homes & parks, and is a frequent speaker before various groups on the subjects of investments, real estate, and title insurance. She served on the Title Insurance Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association, was a member of the Real Estate Forms Committee (which publishes the Texas Real Estate Forms Manual) of the State Bar of Texas for over 20 years, and is a Lifetime Member of the Texas Bar Foundation. She is a former member of the Advisory Committees of Immigration Counseling Services and ProBAR. In 1996 she was awarded the honor of Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the Dallas Bar Association. She is a member of the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, Inc. (MLS), is a member Loopnet Commercial Listing Service, a member of Texas Association of Realtors, Collin County Association of Realtors, and Silicon Valley Association of Realtors.
